Our customer was carrying out a complete renovation of a large stunning family home. The client who has a natural eye for interior design had many ideas of her own and a vision for the space.
This often isn’t the case but from the initial briefing stage we worked closely with her to bring to life her ideas whilst advising her on available products and providing design and building knowledge as the project evolved.
This work provided a much larger and lighter family kitchen allowing room for a large island and breakfast bar area with seating for 6-8 people. The client also wanted to incorporate a bespoke dresser as a focal point, the wall space between the utility entrance and French doors with a view to the garden offered the perfect spot for this. We also opened an existing chimney breast to provide space for a range cooker a built-in mantel.
We also carried out a renovation of the utility room as an extension to the kitchen in the same materials. We provided Tongue and Grove panelling, shelving, units with sink and tap.
To both rooms we supplied and installed karndean herringbone style flooring with underfloor heating.
Brief
The brief was to begin with the necessary building work which included removing a unused lobby area which divided the large hallway from the existing kitchen, we did this by blocking up a door way into the living room and adding two French doors from the kitchen into the lounge and hall.
Installing steelwork, plastering, carpentry, plumbing, electrics, underfloor heating and decorating.
