Splashback inspiration

We have various displays at our showroom so lets explore the options of kitchen splashbacks….

Made from a variety of materials kitchen splashbacks can be as simple as a square behind a hob, or fully fitted between worktop and wall units.  Although the purpose of a splashbacks is to protect your kitchen walls a splashback is the perfect opportunity to add something more to your kitchen design.

It may be something as simple and classic as a mirrored splashback behind the hob with an upstand, which is a 100-150mm strip that fixes to the wall and butts up to the worktop, which often matches the worktop and compliments it beautifully.

Mirrored Splashbacks

Mirrored splashback suit this job perfectly, whilst also maintaining an attractive appearance that can be designed to your own personalised needs, from Antique, tinted or bronze effect. A mirrored splashback reflects light around the kitchen and make the space appear larger. Whatever type of finish or colour that you choose it won’t discolour, become stained or warp with heat or moisture.  Mirror splashbacks are well known for being incredibly low maintenance and easy to keep clean and will not scratch or mark easily.  We have a mirrored splashback on display at our showroom, showcasing our traditional kitchen with a antique mirror effect.

Coloured glass

Made from toughened low iron glass coloured glass splashback are available in a huge range of or alternatively you can specify a match to the RAL colour chart.  Coloured glass splashbacks can withstand extreme temperatures from standard kitchen appliances, including gas cookers and hobs. Therefore providing resistance to grease, stains and food splashes while cooking. A kitchen glass is an easy and stylish way to add a new dimension of decor to the room and it can add more depth and light to create a feeling of space.  We have a beautiful subtle cashmere colour on display in our showroom, showing our modern kitchen design.

Quartz

As an extension of your kitchen worktops, quartz splashbacks will protect your walls from splashes, spills and anything else thrown at them. Quartz splashbacks are extremely strong and durable, quartz is a man-made material and is one of the most hard-wearing materials on the planet.  There is a huge range of colours available and you can go for a wrap-around effect – If you have a quartz worktop, you can wrap the effect around onto your splashback, to give a continual effect. This is a fantastic appearance and one which we love to design.

Brick

If you’re looking for a rustic effect, this could be your ideal splashback choice.  A brick splashback or wall can be added in the form of brick slips, which look just as effective but provide better insulation than a natural exposed wall.  Brick slips are known to be the best brick effect panels to use in a traditional or modern kitchen. They provide a brick wall effect without the stress of dealing with an exposed wall on daily basis and we offer a wide range of finishes and colours to compliment the style of your kitchen and home. In our showroom our Urban display is truly stunning and perfects this look and design.

Tiles

Tile splashbacks might be the most traditional, but thanks to recent innovations like patterned porcelain tiles and digital image printing, tile offers the greatest variety of any comparable material. These tiles are available in a range of styles, colours and designs. They can even be created to mimic natural stone such as limestone, marble or travertine. Best of all, this type of splashback is extremely durable and when compared to other materials, it’s also very affordable. Rather than the traditional horizontal tiling, we love to change the angle to herringbone or brick effect, this really makes for something special and visually unique.  Another way to play with pattern is to use a darker or coloured grout, this is really on trend now and makes a great statement in your kitchen design.
