So how do we make our seating area sociable, versatile and practical without compromising on space? There are various different options to choose from, and our bespoke seating is designed, manufactured and installed to our customer requirements.
Bespoke Benches and Banquette Seating
Banquette seating refers to the built-in benches often found in restaurant seating. Many people choose this option for the intimacy and cozy setting it can provide. The shape of the table is also important; rectangular or oval tables work best in some cases, while round or square tables fit nicely in others.
Benches can offer a great use of space and can be designed and built to maximize storage with a multitude of different colours and materials to complement your worktops or contrast with a bolder choice. Location is key, and whether you choose a central location in the kitchen or a corner option, benches will provide a stunning focal point whilst be able to seat a number of people in an informal setting. A corner bench can add extra seating without the clutter of lots of chairs, and are a wonderful option for larger families, bringing everyone closer and connecting in a way that individual chairs can’t.
Bar Stools
These can offer a contemporary feel to a kitchen island or breakfast bar with a more informal setting and can be a great space saver, usually in addition to other seating in your kitchen. Basically, think about what you’re looking to accomplish and how often your stools will be used (and by who). A stool with a back, arms and even a footstool may be a possible, comfy option. If the bar stools will be a welcome addition to an existing area then a more streamlined, contemporary design may be better.
Individual Chairs
Dining room chairs and table can offer various looks, from contemporary to traditional. They are versatile and comfortable and easy to get in and out of, whilst offering a multitude of material and designs to choose from. However, they do take up more room than benches and so the amount of people you can fit around your table will be limited to the number of chairs you have, so how much space you have in your dream kitchen will influence your decision.
